Statement of interconnection policy:
NeuStar Ultra Services is a large authoritative DNS infrastructure with network locations around the globe. We have close to 10,000 customers including a number of top 500 companies and web sites. In addition, we are the authoritative infrastructure for over two dozen TLD's including .org, .info, co.uk and many others.
Requirements
UltraDNS follows the ISPA default policy of exchanging traffic with all other participants on a no charge basis. Peering at an ISPA location is NOT a requirement - UltraDNS will peer with any organization that is acting as an ISP (Internet Service Provider).
Routing policy
UltraDNS prefers to use BGP V4 (Border Gateway Protocol) for the exchange of routing updates so peers should have their own ASN (Autonomous System Number) and IP Address space. Currently, we require use of an MD5 password on the peering session.
The usual permissible minimum on routes is for '/24' routes - i.e. routed networks should be a minimum of a Class 'C' network.
About ASN 12008
UltraDNS uses ASN 12008. 'Home' networks to this ASN are:
